DOCTOR APPOINTMENT

Not good.
Or, should I say,
I haven't been good.
NO WEIGHT LOSS.
Of course I knew that before I went.

Will have to wait for results of
A1c and other labs.
Probably not good either.

She sort of gave me an ultimatum.....
lose weight or have by-pass surgery.
This has been a favorite subject of hers
for my past several visits.

I told her I didn't want the surgery.

She suggested I try Weight Watchers.
OK, OK, I'll give it a try.
It can't hurt matters.
Hopefully, it will help matters.

I just hate having to pay $12.00 a week
for something that I should be able to do
all by myself.

But, since I haven't succeeded
in doing it all by myself,
I suppose I will have to give in.

Had my first meeting today.
I don't know if my feeble mind can
master the point system.
Sounds like a lot of figuring to me.

Wish me luck........PLEASE.

Mom, its really not that hard to follow the Points system, and it works as long as you stick to it. Going to the meetings is a HUGE help its worth the $12 per week for the support and encouragement.
You've lost weight before and you can do it again. Stop thinking negative, be postive it makes a difference. I'm much better at giving advice than following it. We love you and KNOW you can do this.

YEAH TERRI........ We are to encourage and help one another....We get tired...... I reminds me of the story in Exodus 17... If Moses kept his arms in the air the battle against Amalek would prevail, but if he lowered his arms the enemy would prevail! HE got tired....... so Aaron and Hur held up his hands and the people of God were victorious! We are not in this along and God forgive us if we fail to hold up the arms of our sisters and brother as they wage war on the enemy...... You are the top of my list girl friend.... I will pray.......

Yes, you can do it. My neighbor has done weight watchers and it always works for her. If you walk for a certain amount of time, you can eat more. Or don't use up all your points on some days and save them for when you know you might eat more, like on Sundays or special occasions. And some foods don't have any points!

Good luck with weight watchers. A friend of mine lost a LOT of weight with this program.
Maybe once you get it understood, you can drop out and just keep it up on your own. So it doesn't cost you as much.
