TREATED TO LUNCH

Yesterday, John and I went to K-Mart to get one of my prescriptions filled. We decided to have lunch at McDonalds before going home. We were in for a surprise when we parked and got out of the truck to go into McDonalds. We had parked just a space away from a local radio station's van. The driver was sitting in the van with the door open. He called me over, stating that he had some coupons for us. I thought he was wanting to get me over there to maybe ask a question while on the air and I was a little hesitant. I asked what I had to do to get the coupons and he said no strings attached. I then proceeded over to him and he gave me two coupons for which I gladly thanked him. I just assumed it would be a discount off a sandwich or something but no..........each coupon was for a FREE value meal! Wasn't that nice! Yes, that was so nice!

Today, we had to go back to town to John's doctor's office. He was prescribed a new prescription for his blood pressure since he has been having problems with his blood pressure and pain in his chest and arm. So, another trip to K-Mart for that prescription. We again went to McDonalds for lunch before going to K-Mart, but this time, we had to pay. When we go to McDonalds, we always sit at the window and watch the pigeons on the parking lot just across the way. They were looking for something to eat......people usually throw food out for them, but there was none there at this time. So, when we go to K-Mart, John bought a large box of Honeycomb cereal, to feed the pigeons. Today they got treated to a free lunch on us.

I didn't have my camera with me, but took a picture with my cell phone, which I have just learned does not have the capability to download to a computer. Now, I say what is the use of having a camera phone if all you can do is store the picture on the phone or delete it.......and if you store it.....that's it......stored. Well, I am very disappointed in my phone......now I can't share that picture of all those pigeons eating the Honeycomb cereal......and there was a lot of them.

Lucky you and lucky pigeons. Maybe you can email it from your phone to your email address.

Why is it our first instinct is there has to be a catch with getting something for free! Glad there was no catch with your coupons. Hope the new meds helps John's blood pressure.

Hey, don't you just love a treat like that......something free with no strings! AND about those pigeons, WE can see them in our mind. What a nice thing you did for those birds.....I love to feed the birds here at home.. I get much enjoyment from seeing them flit around! Next time take that camera... Since I have been on the blog I take my camera everywhere!

Love to share with you ladies!

A tip with the cell phone pictures. Just e-mail them to yourself from your phone. That's why they call them I-reports. I bought a special USB cable for my phone and downloaded the software for free from the phone's website to be able to download the pics from my phone. Most phone makes have a website with the instructions for doing this. Let me know if it works.

What a great day you had...how cool about the free meal. What a blessing.

And I was going to leave you some info about how to get the pictures off your phone...but I see others have already done it.
Hope to see the pigeons soon.
When I was little we used to feed the pigeons in the square in the French Quarter. Now it is not permitted.....but at that time we loved bring them stale bread.

Wasn't that a nice blessing to get a free meal!! I don't have a camera with my cell phone!!! I can't even download the people who I call on it!!! My grand- daughter does that for me!!! Love and hugs Grams

Your hubby is a kind and sweet man for feeding those poor hungry birds. He is a sweetie even if he does like to ice fish. Those coupons were sure nice, McDonalds isn't cheap anymore. My hubby and I can eat breakfast at Cracker Barrel cheaper than we can eat at Mickie D's.

RYC---This whole staying healthy thing can be so hard. It has been almost a life long battle for me.
And I would be glad to pray for you concerning these things. It would be nice to leave this battle behind and move on! :)
