A NICE SURPRISE!

Just another normal Sunday....
Go to Sunday School
and Worship Service....
go home and cook dinner....
Tania, Holley and Lily come over.
John goes to get Daddy.
We eat dinner....
sit around and talk....
and play with Lily.
They leave...
I get ready for church.
Same ol', same ol'.
NOT TODAY!!
Went to Sunday School....
left before Worship Service....
go to Rite Aid for more Motrin.
I'm in pain...go home.
Take Motrin.
Get dinner ready.
Tania, Holley and Lily come in...
with a surprise for me!
To celebrate my birthday early...
just look what they brought me....
What a pretty cake!!

And a gift!
Tania knows I love birds.
She found this beautiful sweatshirt for me!
I was so surprised!
Thank you Tania.

I enjoyed the day....except for the pain.....
and I did not go to church service.
Someone suggested that I might have
dry socket after having my tooth removed.
So, I read about it online and agree.
I will see if I can tolerate it until it heals.
I do not want to go back to the dentist
for treatment....I won't go back....
unless I really need to.
Have any of you had dry socket?

That cake sure is pretty. Is it all gone yet? I've heard of dry socket, but don't know exactly what it is, and hope I don't ever have to find out. But if you need to go to the dentist, you had better go.

Oh goodness..yes, I have had dry socket...very painful. I went back and they gave me an antibiotic...hope yours heals on its own. But if the pain continues maybe you can call and they can call something in for you.
I love red birds....I know you will enjoy wearing your shirt. So...happy birthday...what a sweet cake. :)
Hope you feel better soon.

Well, HAPPY BIRTHDAY A LITTLE EARLY!!! What a nice surprise. You are definitely LOVED!

YES, I have had a dry socket and I would have traded it for a toothache anyday. They are very painful. You need to go back to the dentist and get that looked at and get some antibiotics and pain killers. My dentist told me it would take six weeks to heal on its own. Don't suffer with that, go back to the dentist.

I was told by the dentist that the bone only bleeds once, then clots. A dry socket is when that clot has been sucked out of the hole, leaving it open and the bone inside exposed. This is why they tell you not to drink from a straw or do anything that causes a sucking motion in the mouth. That is where the pain comes from. Food or cold air gets inside and causes the pain.

Happy Birthday girl...... You share the same birthday as my dad and my oldest son Darryl....... Your cake is beautiful and the sweatshirt! Hope today is full of joy for you...

AND go to the grocery store and get some oil of cloves.. put some on a small piece of cotton and put it where your tooth was...... it will help the pain.......

Sending birthday hugs!

Hi Shirley,
I am so sorry you are having trouble with this problem, and will be praying for you.I haven't had a dry socket but heard it is very painful. I absolutely do not like dentist visits.

But how sweet of your family to surprise you, and may I wish you a belated Happy Birthday. Beautiful cake and beautiful shirt.
Blessings,
Sue
