Ready for some more pictures?
Well, ready or not, here they are.
On one day of our stay,
we traveled through the town of Thomas
and up the mountain where the wind turbines are.
The first time I saw these (on a previous trip),
I was just amazed.
Aren't they something!
They are really big and can be seen for miles away.
had never traveled before.
I love traveling where I've never been.
The road took us along another part of
the Blackwater River.
There were a lot of primative camp sites
along the river and a lot of them were occupied.
The campers were awaiting the trout stocking.
We walked down to where there was a deck
built out on the river bank and I took some pictures.
It was a nice day and the reflections on
the river were so pretty.

I've only seen wind turbines in pictures. I'll bet they're awesome in person.
The reflection shot is pretty
I think I'd like that drive too.
I drove through a state many years ago and went through mile after mile of these..... just cannot remember where..... they are amazing! Your lake with the reflection is beautiful..... I love going for drives in the fall..... every thing is so beautiful..
Those turbines are neat. I don't think I've ever seen any before.
Loved the pictures. There is a place we go in TN to ride our four wheelers and on the top of the mountain there are about 8 of these windmills.
I love the sound they make as they move with the wind...it is kind of moving in the silence.
Glad you had a good time on this trip....it looked like a lot of fun.
